📘 Guide: How to embed YouTube live streams into your forum (MyBB & XenForo)

📘 The DF Guide — Live streams on your own turf

Why: YouTube chats are rented land. Your forum is owned land.

MyBB (5 min):

1. Install a theater plugin (ours is DF Live Theater — free tier in the Vault).

2. Set your channel ID in plugin settings.

3. Done: bare YouTube links become players; a Theater page auto-embeds your live stream.

XenForo (10 min):

1. Install DF Live Theater (XF) from the Vault shelf.

2. Options → DF Live Theater → channel ID + pill label.

3. Your /dflive/ page now mirrors your broadcast; pill alerts the board.

Pro tip: post the VOD thread next day — one stream = two content pieces.
