I've seen this kill more than one community. What actually works:
1. Give the bots their own room – one dedicated board for automated feeds, nothing else
2. Prefix auto-titles with [AUTO] so skimmers can ignore them
3. Cap the volume – ~10 auto-posts/day max, quality over quantity
4. Keep human boards human – member threads only
5. Curate a weekly digest – one pinned thread each week with the top 5 human discussions, so good threads don't get buried
Result: the news still flows, but it stops burying actual conversations.
How does your forum/community handle automated feeds – separate board, filters, or something cleverer?
