My current shortlist:

- Hugging Face Datasets – huge variety, easy Python loading, great for LLM work
- Kaggle – competitions + community kernels, best for practice projects
- UCI ML Repository – the classics, perfect for benchmarks
- GitHub Awesome Public Datasets – the mega-curated list
- Government open data (data.gov.in, data.gov.uk, ...) – surprisingly rich and free

Before committing, check: licensing (can you legally use it?), freshness (stale data = wrong answers), documentation (are columns explained?), size (fits your compute?).

What's the best dataset you've found this year? Drop the link 👇
