How to choose a web design company in India (2026 checklist)

Live product portfolio — not mockups. If they can't show a site with real users, walk.
Transparent pricing — published tiers, not "call for quote".
Code ownership — you own the repo, the domain, the accounts. Always.
SEO-ready by default — schema, sitemaps, redirects planned before launch.
Real SLAs — response times in writing, not promises.
Post-launch aftercare — 30 days minimum included.
Security baseline — SSL, WAF, headers, backups — named, not vague.
Communication cadence — weekly written updates, preview links every milestone.
Founder involvement — know who actually builds. No juniors learning on your dime.
