I tested 5 free AI logo makers for a client — honest ranking

Client needed a logo fast with zero budget, so I ran the same brief through the usual free tools. Best to worst:

1. Ideogram — best typography, actually readable text
2. Bing Image Creator — great concepts, inconsistent
3. Canva Magic Media — safe but generic
4. Recraft — clean vectors, needs prompting skill
5. Free 'logo generator' sites — template soup, avoid

Verdict: Ideogram + a Canva cleanup pass got us to 'good enough to invoice'. Full prompt write-up if anyone wants it.

Yes to Ideogram for text. Trick nobody mentions: ask for the logo on a flat single colour, then you can lift it clean.

Would love the prompt write-up — drop it in Prompt Library when ready.
